How does the sub connect with a HT bypass pre tube

I am thinking of getting a Cary SLP-2002 tube pre amp to run with my CL-2500MCA and Classe CD/DVD-1 player. When bypassing the HT pre-pro for two channel music, how does the sub connect. Does it connect to the HT pre-pro and have to be on when listening to the Cary? Or does it connect directly to the Cary pre tube amp? Thanks for any help.

If the sub has two inputs run one out of HT and one from your extra set on your tube pre. You may need to get some 2 into 1 RCA adaptors. If sub has only 1 then still use the adaptors so you can hook-up both units to sub. Others may have better ideas but I think this way will work.
