high end DAP for home 2 channel vs traditional dac/streamer?

anybody using a good DAP as a source at home?

some benefits I see from the outside looking in;

-fully balanced (would that make a significant difference connected up to a balanced amp like an Ayre AX-5 ?)

-battery powered

-fanless

Ground loops are difficult to achieve with balanced, and even harder with a battery powered device.

A DAP is fine as a source, if a little inconvenient.

My streamer (a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ running moOde) doesn't have a fan.

Haven't had problem with ground loops in my system either, unless it was a poorly designed component.
