The SCDXA777ES has been discontinued. The replacement is the SCDXA9000ES. The price remains the same at $3000. The new player features 18 Super DAC's for 5.1 instead of 6 in the 777. It also has the i.LINK so you don't need all of the cables(on i.Link compatibles)It also uses the Sony tri-power in all channels instead of the 777 using them for 2 channel.
The new unit is a slightly different size but most everything else stays the same. There are some changes(for the better) in bass management and speaker options. It is suppose to ship around mid-November.
