I haven't compared it to the ARC gear but I have been living with my A2 SE for around three months now since it ousted my Rogue Audio 99 Magnum from my system. It really is a great little pre and responds to tube rolling, although the performance with even the stock valves was impressive enough for me to decide to keep it over the Rogue.
Has anyone heard the YS-Audio A2 "SE"?
I have been looking at a YS-Audio A2 SE which according to the manufacturer uses upgraded caps and other components. Has anyone compared this unit to other high end preamps such as some of the ARC gear?
It seems too good to be true that the YS-Audio could rival ARC gear but I am willing to keep an open mind. The build quality looks pretty good.
