EveAnna has sold her biz

Ralph Karsten has been vocal as to the uncertain future of tube gear. This is a punch to the gut. My totally unsupported hunch is that EveAnna has the same concerns. I always wanted to have one of Manley's 300B amps. I don't know now. I am a very happy owner of a Steelhead phono stage for ten years. Eventually the outboard power supply will fail (they always do) and I may be without the ability to have it serviced if this new owner ends up closing shop.

Apparently this changes won't affect too much the production.

I met EveAnna about 25 years ago in Chino she was very kind. My more recent email communication with her was okay, though  I had an impression that she was like another person.

I think it’s wonderful when someone is able to sell her well established business to a younger, energetic buyer who has plans to expand the business. That’s a beautiful thing.

Sure, a well-earned payout is great when done by choice on one's own time frame. Being rushed or even forced into it by external factors is quite another.

I'll never understand the knots people will tie themselves in to justify certain things that are objectively bad, and also subjectively bad if anyone else had done them.

As usual a thread turns either political or negative without the facts. One reason I very rarely visit the forums much. I love this hobby but social media and forums have become so negative and toxic.
