So if Google play music has its sonic limitations, then should an almost 20 year old 5th generation iPod classic sound better?
Evaluating Bluetooth Noise Canceling Headphones
Hello. I've been trying to pick out a nice set of reasonably priced headphones. Currently I own the Bohm B76 headphones which I have used for the last couple years. I have no real issues with them, but have been wondering if I can get something better sounding. So I bought the Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC headphones and the IdeaUSA V402 headphones. My first question is which would be a better source to listen to music from, a 5th generation iPod or my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 streaming from Google Play Music (and I'm using an audio cord - not Bluetooth).
From a comfort standpoint, so far what I found is the IdeaUSA V402 are the most comfortable with the Bohm B76 a close second. But so far after a day of listening, I think the overall best sounding headphones are my Bohm B76. I do have to reduce the upper bass/ lower midrange a bit and increase the high end a bit but I like the result afterwards. I do need to adjust the equalization for all three headphones in some fashion to get them in what I consider best sounding to me but still gravitate back to the Bohm B76 (which might be due to the fact that I've had them for the last two years and are probably just used to how they sound).
