Elton John songs...which albums?

I have purchased most of Elton John's early albums, but I have not been able to find "Blue Moods". Was this album ever remastered?

Was the song "Don't go Breaking my Heart" with Kiki Dee ever released on any of his albums?

I know I can find both songs on his "Greatest Hits Vol.2" but I don't know if there is a remastered version. I've looked and never found one.

What about the songs he performed with John Lennon on Thanksgiving in Madison Square Garden in 1974? Was it just the live songs, or did they do anything in the studio?

Were these songs ever on an album?

It's "Blue Moves".

Check your local used record shops and look for the original MCA pressing from 1976 MCA 211004.

It's not uncommon to find a nice copy of the double LP for under $10.
its on kiki dee's greatest hits....i have an italian greyhound named after her....
Elton and John Lennon did Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds in the studio. Lennon plays acoustic (I believe) and sings some background vocal on it but this is an Elton John song. They also are together on 2 songs included on Lennon's "Walls and Bridges" LP. They are "Whatever Gets You thru the Night" and "Surprise". A very good LP by the way.

The 11/28/74 Thanksgiving Lennon appearance with Elton was Lennon's last live performance. They performed "Whatever Gets You Through the Night," "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds," and "I Saw Her Standing There."

Lennon introduces the song as “Uh...I’d like to thank
Elton and the boys for having me up tonight...I’m trying to think of a number that I can finish off with so’s I can get out of here and be sick...ha,ha...And I thought we’d do a...do a number of an old estranged fiance of mine, called Paul...This is one I never sang, it’s an old Beatle number and we just about know it...” Then it just rocks.

That version of "I Saw Her Standing There" was the flip ("B") side of Elton's "Philadelphia Freedom"

I love the shout Elton gives to Davey Johnstone before the guitar solo.

I believe I still have that Blue Moves Album. I bought it in Monte Carlo. I think I played it a couple times and put it away. originally I had not seen it in the USA. Maybe it's orig release was just in Eurpe.

Except for "11-17-70" I had/have all the EJ USA releases up to '75-'76 on LP.... just sitting in my closet. I've not played them since '78-79.
Blinfjim - take those dusty gems out, give them a cleaning, and spin them again! That is Elton's best stuff by far. Enjoy.
