Does your server alphabetize the songs, or play them in order of the orginal cd?
There is a very small tab on the screen that implements random playing. I do not know your exact problem and suggest you review your settings.The GUI doesn't have any settings button. My exact problem is that the music, as read and played through the Oppo, is alphabetized instead of playing in the order that the songs are on the CD - there is no way that I can find to defeat this alphabetization that the Oppo unit is apparently doing. I am seeking input as to whether this is a problem that other people are having with their Servers. |

I am going to be buying a stand-alone Server,though, and use my OPPO as a CD/DVD/Blu-Ray transport. I still need to know if others have this issue with their music servers and what, if any, the solution is. |
Sorry OP Only just checked in again Ok in better English this time round! I have ripped my entire CD collection to a Bluesound vault2. On the cheaper side of music servers but has been more than adequate for my needs. Every song is played in the order it is ripped from the original CD. So no it does not rearrange songs into alphabetical order. I agree crucial Floyd albums and concept albums would be nonsense if this occurred. So for sure not every music server rearrange the songs into alphabetical order. Hope that is a bit clearer. |
