IMHO..I doubt you would hear a real difference. Now if you were using a separate dedicated preamp, while using the analog outputs of the player..it might be a different story.
CD player and DAC built into Pre/Pro
My Preamp/Processor has a 192 kHz 24-bit DAC. Suppose this DAC is a decent one (maybe it isn’t, I’m not sure) and I connect the CD player via digital. Would it do any good to purchase a better CD player than using an average one? I’m thinking about a new CD player and I’m considering something like the Cambridge Audio Azur 640C CD Player or the Azur 540C.
