Yes, Kevin Deal is a great resource on all things Cary. The F1 gives greater power at frequency extremes and is less syrupy...I love mine.

My brother recently purchased an SLP-98L, and really likes it, but he's wondering what the differences are between it and the F-1 version. I guess he also too has upgrade-itis.
From what I've read it seems to give up some of the warmth in exchange for some speed - is this accurate?
Anyone who has experience with both please share your experiences.
