Cambridge Audio CXN V2

I'm considering the purchase of a Cambridge Audio CXN V2 for my garage workshop. Can it accept a usb hard drive or only thumb drives? Also, can it be fully controlled from the front panel without the need for wifi or a remote app?

I haven't used the USB input, but according to the manual it does support external hard drives and flash drives. Just be aware that if you use that method you'll only be able to see folder names and file names, with no other information about the recordings. I think navigating through a terabyte of folder and file names using the screen and controls on the front panel, while possible, would probably be painful. That's why they suggest using a network (either ethernet or wifi) so you can use database software that can sort the files based on metadata about the recordings.
Thanks for responding. It's good to know it has a dedicated remote. Have you used the usb input with a portable hard drive or only with thumb a drive? Some usb inputs only accept thumb drives. I need access to a one terabyte ssd for this towork for me. Thanks again.
I have a CXN V2. It comes with a remote control for all the functions. It'll take a USB at the front and rear panel. It can also be controlled with a user friendly Cambridge app interface.
