broadcast quality pictures...???...

Hello,

A friend of mine told me about a combination of image enhancement machines that are not 'allowed' to be used together because the result would be so good that it equals direct broadcast view. Not all image data are actually used, he told me.

Perhaps I misunderstood him..... so I ask you, experts, to lighten this tunnel a bit ....

Is it so that in a component (what is BNC HV ??) environment, progressive scan and (as an example) a line quadrupler combined result in this kind of broadcast quality?

Is there a way then, to improve the quality of an image in such a way that the equipment makers jointly prevent that an image can be improved so dramatically (copyrights) ?

Thanks,
Piet

the reason that you do not see broadcast quality video is because actual film can better show depth of field and texture that that of dumbed down broad cast. It is similar to music compression technology.
