Bose Wave Music system

I was wondering if anyone had or actually listened to the Bose Wave Music system. For a simple, all-in-one solution, it seems like it could be worthwhile. It has a cd player, radio, and speakers all in one box. Without the optional cd changer it costs $499. What do you think? Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the responses. I guess the main problem is knowing where to look to find something that's better and still in the price range. I'll check out your recommendations. Stevecham and Celtic66, what is the specific JVC model number you are referring to?

I went to the website that Hgeifman cited for the Boston Acoustics Micros system. Can anyone shed further light onto this system? At $499 it's the same price as the Bose and I'm assuming is better considering that it's Boston Acoustics.

Zaikesman, for the money ($499) is there something in particular that you would recommend? I'm looking for something simple.

Thanks for the response Zaikesman. Audiofeil, could you expand on why you would recommend the tivoli product? Have you had an opportunity to compare it with other products within that price range?

Thanks for the input guys. Small, compact, is what I'm looking for so I'm not considering separates - not yet at least.
