Aurrender

Congratulations. The Aurender N20 is a great streamer. 

I have an Aurrender W20SE with my all Audio Research Reference System, 6SE Preamp, CD9 SE DAC, 3 phonostage, and 160s amp and Sonus Faber Amati Traditional Speakers. 

Also, an Aurrender 100 with my Ayre QB-9 20 DAC, and Woo WA5 headphone amp... Sennheiser 800s, Focal Utopia... etc headphones.

What do you think of the N20 compared to the N150?  Hearing many differences? And, if so, what are the improvements?  Thanks.  

I have several setups, but right now with my N20 I’m using an octave 300 se pre,

Nuprime evolution 2 se momo blocks and Holo spring Kte bac. All cabling is cardas.

I would think a better DAC would be a good starting point. For now the N 20 probably would sound best connected with the AES/EBU connection to your Line Magnetics LM 32. The N 20 has a very good clock. Depending on what your tastes are you may hear more of what it has with a higher end DAC if you are able to afford one.

I bought the N150 with a leap of faith as an upgrade to my IPad and wow. A second leap o faith to the N20 was as big of a jump or more.

I am happy with the DAC for now. It just sounds “right” although at a much lower price point relative to the N20. I am using the AES connection. It is definitely noticeable better than USB.

I’m not sure how to describe the difference. Like I said the initial N150 was well beyond my expectations. The N20 just made everything sound more separated and full if that makes any sense.
