I'd pick the one that best matches the rest of your system. Why don't you list it out and I'll (and others hopefully) will give you some advice.

I personally own the vk50se, but that doesn't mean it's the right thing for you...
ok, ESP Harp, Speaker, Bel Canto amps 845,mon blocks. Cat pre Amp, mk2.also Dcs Elgar,+ persell.Up sampler.
Here is my opinion. The DCS gear, while outstanding, could use just a touch of soul to it. The ARC gear, again is great, but sometimes falls into this category. The BAT gear, IMO, will give you this "soul". You won't go wrong with either...

Depends on what sound you like...hope that helps a little.
I have to side with the ARC. This is of course subjective. I like the ARC sound over the BAT. I use an ARC with my bel cantos and love what it does. Just the right hint of harmonics. The Bel's love accuracy and I don't think the BAT has that trait in spades. I have listened to the BAT alot. It is a sound you either love or dislike. I didn't care for it. Doesn't mean you won't love it. I just like my ARC with the bel cantos. Try to hear them both if you can. Two very different sounds to say the least. Good luck.
try an ARC ls5 - much less money and all the envolvement

see the preamp thread by chazmo for more details

I have one and it's never coming out!
