arcam and bryston

I have an arcam a19 amp hooked up to B&W PM1 monitors. I purchased an older Bryston 3bst. I intend to plug my pre outs of the Arcam into the Bryston.I am going to bi amp the B&W speakers. I would like to know if anyone could tell me if the bryston will work okay with the arcam preamp.I talked to a salesman in an audio store and he said you have to make sure the gain of the bryston didn,t  overpower the arcam. Any thoughts on using these two brands together would be most helpful. Cordially Richard Pfeiffer
