Anybody heard or use the CAT Renaissance?

A friend has just received a CAT renaissance...I was blown away by how good it sounds. Anybody have experience with Ken's new pre-amp?

Gotcha, easy to mistake the two. Thanks also for correcting my errors in spelling and grammar, I’m stuck in a waiting room using my phone.
Jeez Classic95, you're right, I mistook the trach(k)..Layla ( track #7) for
'Cocaine'. for some reason in my mind these two are synonymous.
Anyway, it was Layla and my impressions were as I wrote.
Well Bombaywalla, I really liked the way the pre-amp was able to render almost lifelike images and with superb palpability to all instruments. My friend played the EC CD 'Unplugged' and on the track 'Cocaine' the audience was well defined with individual handclaps and the like all being audible.

I was very impressed by the pre-amp and also in its ability to sound very quiet during those passages that demanded that. On analog, there was an amazing feeling of the musicians being in the room, almost spooky!
No, but I have his older Signature Mk3 version preamp for quite some time. I really like its sonics. So, I can just imagine how much better the Renaissance must be.
