High Fidelity Cables, why most threads about them got deleted
What happened to most/ all threads written about the company? They all got removed.I’m trying to read up about their wall plugs and their Reveal and CT interconnects… Is there something I need to worry about the company? Thanks
I haven't a clue on why the threads are deleted but I don't think you need to worry about the company, they are making plenty on their cables. But, I'd worry about the backhoe you will need for your wallet when you buy their stuff! On the other hand, they do have a 60% off sale which reduces their stuff to "simply expensive".
I am always suspicious of audio companies with a new technology that don't describe how it works, refer to a new patent, or refer to a peer reviewed paper on the subject. They might be onto to something new and exciting but I am not willing to drive a backhoe into my wallet to find out.
Do you remember those kids, riding in their parents grocery cart who raised such a ruckus that every other shopper could hear? Well, they are now on Audiogon. And if they don't like or agree with something, they raise enough hell to ruin it for everyone
High Fidelity is a live and well. As i under stand it they just brought in 2 big new milling machines so they can do more in house. As with most manufacturing raw materials can be a problem. Their face book page has updates and info about new products.

With all due respect that is BS. The vast majority of those who cause the disruption have NEVER TRIED the product. Most are using ten cent equipment and wouldn't spend a nickel to see Jesus dance on the head of a pin. They have no experience with it so why are they saying anything? They don't have any knowledge base to work with. I once bought a Luxman top dog receiver which I hated every minute I spent with it. Yet, when I see a thread about Luxman, I don't cause disruption, even though I OWNED a Luxman. its called manners and civility. If you've tried it and didn't like it, then say so and say why. But if you have no experience with it you should keep your mouth shut. If they acted this way in public, they might get their a** beat, something apparently they didn't get as a child.
They're alive and well. I have a few of their products, not the outrageously expensive ones. I've been receiving emails from customer service regarding a delivery date for a power conditioner module. Like many companies, they are experiencing production delays.
By definition, intellectual property is usually a closely guarded secret.
Having said that, most cable bells and whistles are not even worthy of a patent, because that would require some threshold levels of actual research by someone with a university education in engineering, and novel inventiveness and perhaps a couple other things, to be passed.
There is one company which does do a lot of genuine research, and it does describe the lengths it goes to deliver robust technology. No secret that Blue Jeans Cables distributes the product (I trust mentioning that name is not a blockable offence).
I have the MC-1 Double helix conditioner and love it. It was not 23,000 dollars. I started with the MC-0.5 and gradually moved up. I would recommend them to anyone.
Yes their products work. Love the power conditioners, but did not personally like the effect of the power cables in my system, but can see why others would.
I have used or tried many of their power cords, interconnects etc. At this time, I only use the NPS 1260 product. And, as mysterious as it is, works great and a valued product to me.
Oh yeah. I applied it (very sparingly, don’t be sloppy) on just about everything that has a connection. That is: Breaker box on dedicated lines, power cords, interconnects, speaker cables, fuses and even on a few tubes. Great product!
There is a thread titled Cable Goop. I have placed some of my experience on that thread.
@ozzy I wouldn't feel comfortable applying it to tube pins. I'm wondering if coating the pins with an enhancer will affect voltage to the tubes and shorten their life expectancy; ie, changing the bias and overdriving the tubes. ??????
lowrider, As 68pete has commented, you don’t need to wait till its dry. (it never really quite dries) and it comes off easy, I have used Isopropyl alcohol. Clean as new.
I have applied the 1260 to the input tubes on my amp thus far, and eventually I’ll do the output tubes. However, that would mean 16 tubes with 8 pins each, so I don’t know when I will tackle it.

That's true artemus. When I made my original comment about the cost of the Da Vinci interconnects I was just being sarcastic. I have no idea what they're like, and maybe if I was in that income bracket, I would be a customer. I do believe a lot of product bad-mouthing is from those of us (like me) who can't afford certain items.
I’m getting mixed opinions about this company here on this forum, so I decided to invite myself to High Fidelity shop since it is just about 12 min drive from my house. Luckily Rich was there and he himself gave me a grand tour that change my love to this hobby forever.
So much to my surprise, the company is breathing and (very) well alive, I got a few quick chats with the workers and ... their production lines are actually working around the clock to meet high demand. I saw thick stacks of customers work orders pinned down and fully covered the white board waiting to be made... 2 to 3 weeks on the average, Rick said. Most majority parts are designed and made right in the shop. I got to see all his machineries and the people wking behind them. A few distance away, 2 new giant state of the art milling machines running...Unfinished pieces and parts waiting to be assembled scattering here & there everywhere around the shop. They look so unique and beautiful that I have never seen before. Ones that are about to or freshly finished, I asked to touch them and, oh boys, they are snugged and well weighted. (Those whom own them will know what I’m talking about, right?)
Rick offered me a quick listening to his demo system and oh my goodness. it knocked the crap out of me... (in a good way.) I have never heard this kinda soundstage and imaging before. It’s so crisp and clean and REAL with absolute zero coloration. I would say High Fidelity is like Tesla cars; strange technology packs with superb performance from the future. I didn’t prepare to come in to buy anything from HF because I was still on the other side of the fence, remember? but after seeing AND hearing from my own eyes and ears, their ridiculous and outrageously high prices start making more sense. It’s not for everyone though and the same goes to Tesla cars.
Right then, I was firm that I will not walk out empty handed. I wanted to take advance of his Black Friday Special discount,.... they found me a wall plug MC-1 Pro. (Msrp $1600) Holding this thing in my hand, it was so well built and well weighted, I knew it will serve me immensely yet not once I ever thought of the price I just paid for it. It was that convincing. Rick said give it at least 2, 3 days for broken-in.... well? from my first initial plug in, I could not keep my poker face straight but the biggest smile. My system characters are still remain unchanged but the music just got so much better in every aspects from soundstaging, imaging, inner details. Strings instruments are so more refined and getting so much better ( I have Sonus Faber Elipsa SE) Bass guitar and drums are so real with authority that I swear they are so close, I can reach out... Special thanks to those have reached out and share your positive experience. Y’all encouraged me to looking into the company.
Funny how things turn around. Not too long ago, I was a nay "Who the heck is HF?" Today, I’m a yay. Fortunate for me than the rest of you all is that HF isn’t too far from me. Yet, it took me nearly 10 years until the day before yesterday and it all started from that first knock on the door...
Appreciate you posting your experience. What a small world, Rick's place is near your home. There may be some variation in sound as the unit breaks in. Let us know your findings in a few days.
I have been using their RCA Magnetic Adapters in my turntable chain for several years now. I really like them and hear a difference for the better. I use two pairs. One pair coming directly off of my Technics SL-1210GAE RCA Outputs and the other on the RCA Inputs on my Primaluna Dialogue Premium HP Integrated amp. They enhance my listening pleasure. Dana
it is extremely subtle and i would have trouble telling anybody exactly what it did.
i "thought" i wouldn't be able to live without it. that has not been the case.
not that my conclusions would be of any authority but i will re-introduce it after a little while and see what i get. if nothing i guess i will sell it.
@mr_gray, my findings are you need 2 MC-0.5's to start with. 2 modules is definitely audible. Also placement is key; plugged into same receptacle as audio system is most effective, plugged into power strip is next. Plugged into power conditioner has least effect. This is according to Rick in an email to me.
My update with High Fidelity Cables. The wall plug continues to serve beautifully in my system, so,... I took a huge risk again (Lord, hope my wife not reading this) I bit my tongue and bought a pair of their Orchestral Double Helix Signature XLR (of course with their Special 60% off) and OMFG, this thing blows my mind and beyond. Unlike any other brands that I have constantly tried in my last 20-ish yrs, this Orchestral Signature isn’t adding, bending or band-aiding the sound but it’s like the drug boosting up my original sound to another level. The improvement is VERY similar to the wall plug MC-1 Pro that I previously shared here on this thread... but in a greater scale.. I’m like owning a whole new, more powerful and more expensive amplifier. My system’s tone and main characteristics remain unchanged but micro inner details, imaging and sound-staging improve so much.
Guys, I’m writing this today not about their stinking wall plugs or the outrageously expensive Orchestral Signature XLR that I just purchased ( WORTH EVERY PENNIES) but really is about their NPS-1260 liquid enhancement. This “nail-polish” is also my jaw-on-the -floor experience. Ozzy here brought it up on this thread and I was like, hmm, WHATEVER ! But I gave it a try and I think its improvement and enhancement to sound is most definitely the best bang for bucks; a must have for every single audio enthusiasts. Rich poor beginners Golden Ears warm bright mellow dynamic,,, y’all want this.
This "nail-polish" strangely but does have a very similar effects as the MC-1 Pro wall plug which now got me thinking?... hmmm, should I also try it on my less dedicated 2nd system, my Home Theater? This system is in need for improvement and enhancement but, oh boy, NPS-1260 isn’t cheap either...
Anyways, it’s something with the magnets that HFC wking on that might not making sense to me but it’s most definitely benefiting my system hugely. It took me a long time to tune my system to the way I love it today. and this darn HFC helps me taking it going beyond.
I do not know if you would have to re-apply every time, yes you would be applying it more often. You can apply it to or over already treated connections.(you do not have to wipe off and re-apply)
