Are the TT's of the 70-80 as good as the new ones
I second the recommendation to go for an old Technics table, if you're on a tight budget or a Garrard, if you can stretch it. My current setup is 2 Garrards (301 + 401) in my den/living room and a Technics SP-25 / EPA-100 in the study :)

Pauly, I prefer the UP-4 to the RS-A1 for 2 main reasons. The UP-4 has better extension and a fuller midrange compared to the RS-A1, which is also very very fiddly to setup properly. However and despite the RS-A1 not sounding as good as the UP-4, ...

I second (or third) the recommendation for a Morch, if you want something that is still in current production. I have a preference for unipivots and preferred my UP 4 over an Origin Live Silver Taper.If you don't mind going vintage (well, sort of)...

What is the lowest LOMC you guys know of???
The lowest I've seen is the old Ortofon SL-15E, which has been quoted as 0.067 mV (1Khz 50 mm/sec) and the lowest I've owned is an old Micro Seiki LC-80W (0.082 mV)

Yes, I own a pair of 255 monoblocks that uses 2 x 6L6 for each channel. Sounds good and takes up little space.
