I have a pair of Aragon 1Ks and one night I turned them on to hear a loud humming buzz comming from both units. I have a pair of dedicated 20 amp power lines running from the main household fusebox (one to each amp) so nothing else is on those cir...
Older PURE CLASS-A Amplifiers
Well, actually the 8008BB is not really class A, but it shares the same platform that its big brother the Palladium is based on and it's available used for under 1k.
Humming sub.
Sometimes if your sub is on the same curcuit as the lights (especially with dimmers or 2 or 3 way switches) it can cause a hum. Turn off the lights and see what happens.

Best integrated for rock music under $1,500?
I agree on the great sound of NAD but also agree with the build quality issue. I also agree with going to Sansui - a few of their high-end integrates are quite powerful and have almost tubelike sound with lots of bottom end too so they can power m...
