Pure Music 1.88a
Even 1.89d4 with 11.01 doesn't seem to run reliably, at least for me it crashes or freezes way too often, and sometimes doesn't want to play music at all, where 1.88 with the last 10.x version of iTunes was working seamlessly. MacMini (mid2010) wi...
Small but high quality integrated
I would recommend to reconsider the Accuphase options explore what is available. While I have not personally experienced the Accuphase E-350, I'd buy it in a heart beat if I find a good used one. If power is more of a concern than the budget const...
Speaker pairings with Pass INT-30A
Have a look at the Revel M22's. Highly underrated, and exceptional deals available for used ones. I am not going to sell ours for a long time...They want a capable amp, so yours should be a good match if your room isn't too large.
Luxman vs. Accuphase
I ended up buying the Accuphase E-450 (now driving Magico V3's), and couldn't be happier with it. As I was winding my way through the decision process, I heard Luxman's 590, but not in a good setup. One of my reasons for deciding for the Accuphase...
Best Integrated Amp You Ever Heard?
Agree with Hakuchosan -- Accuphase E450 driving our Magico's with ease and delivering an amazing level of detail. Not missing anything here...I have listened to much more expensive systems, and wouldn't want to switch.
Best Speakers at RMAF 2011...?
I really enjoyed the Lindemann BL10 speakers. Tiny speakers with a big and very detailed sound, reaching down much further than the small size would have suggested. No need for subs, at least not for my taste. They did not seem to fight too much w...
Cambridge Audio 740C Optical In DAC Help...
We have the Cambridge 840c, which I think has the same input options as the 740c. I have often used this both as CD player and also fed it from my MacBook (and also my Airport Express and MacMini) via the optical Toslink, without any problem. You ...
need to down size to monitors
Revel M22 are getting my vote. You will need a decent amp to make them sing.
Anthem 225 vs Yamaha A-S2000
I can also highly recommend the Anthem. Ours is now driving Revel M22's in the bedroom system with really nice and convincing sound. Prior to that, we enjoyed it in our main system (driving F52's at that time), where we eventually upgraded to an A...
