Good amp pairing for Zu Dirty Weekend?
Schiit Aegir is a very good match.
Zu Omen or Tekton Lore
Jwidd: Yes, the iDecco will drive the Omens to an uncomfortably high volume level without clipping.
Zu Omen or Tekton Lore
Cymbop: I have a pair of Omens as well as an iDecco. The iDecco normally lives on my desktop connected to a pair of Era D4s. I've tried the iDecco with the Omens a few times now and it sounds just ok. To be honest, I much prefer the 2wpc Bottlehea...
Zu Omen Defs and Ice Amps?
When I first got my (standard) Omens, I used them with one of the new Bel Canto C5i integrated amps. I believe this is an ICE amp rated at 120wpc at 4 ohms. They sounded ok, but I always felt the bass sounded thin with that amp. Some weeks later, ...
Peachtree iDecco 24/96 problem Does it work 4 u?
Just an update. My first iDecco had a problem with noise when using an iPod in the dock and connecting the preamp to a power amp. With the replacement unit, I can connect it to the S/PDIF optical port on my PowerMac and play 24/96 music no problem.
New Oppo BDP-95 better than the McIntosh MVP-881?
Can't comment on this player vs the MVP-881. But FWIW, I'm using mine as a 2 channel player only, connected via the analog unbalanced outputs as well as S/PDIF coax to my DAC. It sounds great either way. Midrange is a little more forward with the ...
Any better spkrs than Era D4's for computer audio?
I've done a lot of experimenting with different gear on my desktop. It will be hard to do better than the D4 with an iDecco. It's a fantastic match. I tried the Harbeth P3ESR which sounded nice, but were a too big. The Peachtree DS4.5 is good, but...
Desktop Harbeth p3esr Amp
I disagree with Meiwan that you'd be selling the P3s short with an iNova. I've heard it in person and it is great. I am using an iDecco with Era D4s on my desktop and am so pleased, I don't know how it can get much better. I am going to try a pair...
Peachtree iDecco 24/96 problem Does it work 4 u?
Hi Kylewat,Did you ever figure out your issue? The max I could input on S/PIDF was 24/48 on my iDecco. Setting output to 96kHz results in pops and clicks. I think the max on USB was 16/48.
