Stevecham, you made a good point, thx - I had them tilted same as the 2CE, and when I just reduced the tilt it seems more pleasing. My couch has probably settled lower with all this listening.

Thanks for taking an interest- I am using the Rotel RC 1070 pre amp. Not to say I dont get any bass- It is just not as "robust" as from the Rotel CD player 1055. Must just be an over emphasis from the rotel changer

Why do some of the reviews I see have statements like "(the manufacturer) suggests 300 hours break in before critical listening." I think in home audtions of equipment may not be as available as we all would like, and everything will sound differe...
