Are you sure you have the correct link cables?Source to preamp is different from preamp to amp. (And for monoblocks, yet another type of cable is needed from mono to mono).After I got the correct cables, I never had a problem linking my components...

If only it were a ground loop :( I've already tried lifting the ground, and the noise is still there, just as loud. It's also not the same type of noise I hear from my preamp if the halogen lamp in another room is on.One more thing .. I hear a pop...

My ML380S has static when I change volume
Do you hear some sort of soft pop for every 0.1dB change? That's what I heard on my 380S, whether via remote or volume pot. I also hear it on the 32 but it is much much softer. 
Pink noise and pop from Levinson 333 amp
If you using single-ended connections, make sure the XLRs are shorted with the shorting pins that came with the amp. Not using the pins definitely causes the pops. 
Transport for ML360S?
Garfish, are you referring to the ML No41? I was told it's supposed to be a "Levinson version" of the Proceed PMDT. And being a Levinson, it will be even more expensive than a PMDT. ($7-8K price range?)
