Found the review of the v-link
What music is best for life in a tiny box?
@Swamp Thanks for the input. I found and read the review in SP. Looks interesting. I really like that is can be used to record from vinyl. It has made my short list with the V-DAC II and the Centrance DACPort(though I am very dubious about its abi...
Questions about Musical Fidelity V-Link USB/SPDIF
There was a very solid review of it a few years back by SP.Should work well. Let us know how it sounds!
What music is best for life in a tiny box?
Okay, after days of research and playing the, "Well for only $100 more I can...."-game, I found myself seriously contemplating the Bel Canto DAC2.5.Then reality set in, just too much for now.So, as a start, I think I am going to go with the new V-...
Oppo analog question
I must agree with Kal on this one. As I stated, the analog stage on my Outlaw is much better than on my Integra. The Integra has HDMI, Audyssey, and can process DSD directly.Yet on my Integra, the analog out from the Oppo would sound terrible comp...
Oppo analog question
Ummmm....as an owner of the 980H,83 and 83SE I always thought 2-ch analog was excellent (especially on the 83SE). I always had an issue with multi-channel and bass, but I believe that to be the fault of my pre-pro (outlaw 970). That said, as long ...
Why Do You Still Have Vinyl if You Don't Play it?
I think it comes down to nostalgia. LPs sound different, there is no getting around that (I said different, not better) But there are clear advantages to digital, especially hi-res. I think there is no coincidence that almost all my LPs are from t...
What music is best for life in a tiny box?
@4est Was just looking at the Burson; I like the build of it. I will look into the other as well.@Jdoris I like Music Hall stuff. The build does not seem as impressive as Burson, I know, that is only part of the picture. Plus the MH looks deep. Th...

WOW! Thank you for all the great responses!@Rdavwhitaker I have been eyeing the creek for a long time and have heard good things about the Sennheisers. I have also heard great things about the Grados, and they are a third the price.@Roscoeiii All ...
NAD 955 vs Emotiva XPA-5
Well I went with the NAD. I felt more comfortable with the amps lower distortion, much higher signal to noise, and branding. Plus, something just seemed "cheap" about the Emotiva. The big blue lights, the way the case was constructed.. dunno, just...
NAD 955 vs Emotiva XPA-5
Hmmm.... unfortunately sound quality is the most important thing! I agree about the higher powered amp, hence my leaning toward Emotiva. I have heard the NAD amp, so I know I will like it. I guess I can get the Emotiva and if I do not like it, sen...
NAD T-955 vs Outlaw 7125
Any thought about the Emotiva XPA-5? They have a detailed spec sheet for it. Though it is not too impressive at its rated 200wpc, at 100wpc, it looks similar in performance to the NAD... I worry about build quality though...
NAD T-955 vs Outlaw 7125
Hmm...good to know. I am leaning more and more toward the NAD. Are there any other brands I am missing? I have a Parasound zAmp I am really happy with, but I think their multichannel amps are a little out of my price range.I heard the t-975 paired...
Has anyone heard the new OPPO BDP-83SE
Blindjim, I agree, I am at that point now.. just enjoy the system. As for SACD playback, I maybe have 10 hours on it. It does lessen the 'brightness' when I use LPCM to the DAC as opposed to straight DSD. That said, I am intrigued by the idea that...
Has anyone heard the new OPPO BDP-83SE
I found the stock 83 to be a little bright. Especially when listening to SACD. It is fatiging and I can really only listen for about 1-2 hours before my ears hurt. I wonder if the new DACs will correct this? Already Redbook and DVD-A playback via ...
