Yamaha AX-1200 and Yamaha NS-690 II

I was using a Harman Kardon HK-970 with my Yamaha NS-690 II. Somehow right channel of that amp has stopped giving output.
I've looked around and found a Yamaha AX-1200 on sale for around $150. Amp seems to be okayish and works fine. Few scratches on wood panels and might need a service. Owner says its been sitting there for around 5 years.

Is this is a reasonable amp? Would it work fine with my speakers and would it be better or worse than my previous integrated?
