You will likely get a few differing opinions on this and it well come down to what sound your looking for...I've heard a solid state amp at my dealer and it sounded great with a little more "punch" then the tube amp I'm running, but, I am a softy for the smooth tubey sound. When I was considering these speakers, I read alot of folks preffering SS with them...btw I run an ARC VSI75 but have 2 REL S3 subs connected....
