Mcintosh MVP 851

I am considering using this as my primary CD audio source.Would like to get some feedback on the audio cd section of this unit. Am also considering a Cambridge 804

I have a MVP-861 as my primary CD / SACD /DVD-A player and it sounds fantastic ! It upscales redbook as well. You can pick up a MVP-861 for around $2k-2200. I have heard that the 851 also sounds very good but does not play SACD.
