I have really enjoyed mine. Bought them used about two years ago for $200, which was a steal for being in nearly flawless condition. I have since purchased a VR10 center channel on ebay to match up with them. Have Rock Solids in the rear (please no jokes). Powered by a Pioneer Elite receiver. They won't shake the house with their base but aren't bad at all in that department. I have read several places that the VR40's are the best speaker that Boston has produced. I cannot disagree with that.
