D'Agostino Progression monoblocks replacing my Theta Prometheus monoblocks
I am very happy with the D'Agostino Progression monoblocks. I am not the first to mention how dynamic these amps are. This was evident listening to the CD Red Violin. Track 20 has some very loud orchestral peaks on the track. It was amazing to hea...
D'Agostino Progression monoblocks replacing my Theta Prometheus monoblocks
George, After changing from the Theta Prometheus (which is a really great sounding amp) I have had a pair of ARC Ref 250 SE monoblocks, and Momentum monos for a back to back comparison. All three were with the same ARC Ref 10 preamp.

Nailed it!
Which Audio Research Preamp?
I owned the ARC SP-9 and upgraded to the SP14 due to the better phono section. To my ears the SP14 has better soundstaging and imaging.
Anyone With A Class 'D' Amp Play A 4 or 2 Ohm Speaker?
Theta Prometheus monoblocks powering Wilson Maxx 3 speakers. Class D and no issues driving them.
Why Are There So Many Audio Research Reference 5SE's For Sale
I finally was able to upgrade from the Ref 5SE to a Ref 10. It was worth it!
Upgrading of Minimus 7's
Modified my pair years ago using Fulton brown cable to replace the RS cable internally. It was a great little speaker when I was beginning the journey into audio.
The awful truth about CDs, do they have the same shelve life as LP's ?
This whole BS scare tactic began back when one manufacturer messed up the finishing process on a specific number of discs that were eventually exchanged and replaced. Notice we haven't heard about this for many years until the OP heard what Paul ...
Patricia Barber, Cafe Blue "un-mastered"
Nope, not sending it back to Elusive Disc! I am happy with my copy. I don't have the original version. All I can say is this version sounds fantastic on my system!
New Wilson - Wamm Master
There's an optional separate sub bass enclosure for them. Probably similar to their sub that is still current?
Wilson Audio Haters
There is probably demand for the WAMM from the Asian market. I hope he sells them all. I have owned Watt Puppy 7’s. They were Brooks Berdan’s demo speakers from his showroom. They replaced Martin Logan Odysseys. Years later I am now retired and up...
Audio Research is launching new products, "The Foundation Series"
I have owned ARC products from the SP5-SP7, to the current Ref 5SE preamplifier. The older products sound really great and offer a great value when found used. As far as rolling tubes with the older products it gives you what you want sonically. H...
Class D Technology
I am extremely happy with my Theta Prometheus amplifiers. The front end tubed preamp just makes the result that much better. If possible listen to the amps in your system.
Who remembers the Dahlquist DQ-10's?
I certainly do.  I had bought Magnaplanar MGIIB's and was so smitten with them. I went over a friend's house (Donald) who had Dahlquists DQ10's and it was the first time I heard them in someone's house instead of the showroom floor. I always loved...
esoteric products
Thanks Jafant much appreciated. I have about 200 hours on the unit now. In comparison to SACD vs CD, Yes SACD depending on the disc sounds fantastic. I also have some CD's that sound very good on the K-01X! It appears they advanced the playback ca...
