Does Every Track Sound Great on Your System?
@pinthrift  How do you like your Bacch System would be interesting to see how you can figure it. Can it be used within a home theatre set up? I find the whole process a bit overwhelming to deal with.
Does Every Track Sound Great on Your System?
I find Diana krall albums to all be of great quality. Wish others would be this good. Also the artist Her has well recorded music. I wish everything they did in the 70s was done using better recording techniques.  A lot of what you listen to in re...
New expensive power cord for amp and no change in sound?
@coleyounger1896  No, it was a serious post.
New expensive power cord for amp and no change in sound?
You have to spend more than $1000 on a power cord to hear much. Hopefully your system is good enough to discern a difference. Power design within a component may impair the ability to improve upon them with a better power cord. Your electrical s...
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments?
@facten  +1 You know it.
So sad about Netflix sound quality. No one can hear it
@njcardave  I noticed your room has a lot of diffuser stuff going on also the full ceiling of cones is interesting. What have you noticed after putting in all those diffusers. It seems to me if you want the effect of whatever diffusers do in the ...
So sad about Netflix sound quality. No one can hear it
@njcardave  It is a cool device appletv x. It's also $25oo.  The accompanying power box probably adds a lot. I'm guessing you have to get it with the power box. Can you talk about what it did for you. you have an awesome room so I'm sure it's b...
Preamplifier sound Quality impact in home theatre bypass
if there’s tubes involved it probably goes through the tube circuits on the preamp even when it’s in bypass.
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments?
@audition__audio   do you not recognize that use of a leaf blower which can be easily heard within someone's home is terribly disruptive to listening. Thankfully no one uses them at night. People have no idea how awful it is to listen to these t...
PS Audio Power regenerator
The PS power regenerator is the biggest gimmick on the planet. It's totally totally unnecessary and actually uses a lot of electricity when it's just plugged their waiting to be used. Spend a lot of money just keeping this box plugged into the wal...
Audio Research Pre-Amp advice
I would be scared to death to buy a used piece of tube equipment. It's very very difficult to get it serviced and then once they have it and because talent to deal with tube gear is very very limited you may wait months to get it back.  Not sure a...
Anyone listen to entire albums?
This is why albums are not so popular anymore. I get bored with my collection and wanna always use roon. Plus with albums spinning around ever so cooly, it’s difficult to skip songs that may suck. But on the flipside listening to all the music on...
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments?
So I guess treating a room with acoustical panels Will provide a benefit. This is news. So many great enthusiastic people have led me to rethink my position. I thank everyone for helping me overcome my fear of adopting a more liberal view about ac...
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments?
I hardly think of a room filled with furniture is considered a treated room. Certainly it offers acoustical benefits. The title of the thread does not suggest the system would be placed inside an empty room. It merely suggests that good systems, ...
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments?
Somehow I think if you have a good system in a furnished room somehow you have to validate yourself as a true audio connoisseur by putting stylish acoustical panels throughout the room. Somehow not having them makes a room seem unfinished even tho...
