cheap usb converter making awful pops, help please
Well, now I've installed the Trends Audio 10.1 UD USB converter, in place of the no-name Chinese unit mentioned in my OP, and the computer is still generating the exact same pops and clicks. Could it be the buffer? BTW, the computer is a Dell Insp...

cheap usb converter making awful pops, help please
thanks for the suggestions, but i'm trying to figure out if the unit is at fault or whether its some setting or limitation of the computer or perhaps something else. One 'goner suggested it might have something to do with the computer's buffer not...

If you're going to use a sub and tri-path amp,I have the same set-up with Tekton Design single driver speakers with 6.5 inch Fostex 167e speakers and am amazed at how loud and full they sound in that configuration, not to mention the excellent son...

Re-Post: Help? only one subwoofer channel works
My sub is the very cheap, not very good Tube Audio Design Aural Ecstasy unit. I have it hooked up high pass, straight from my Trends Audio t-amp to the sub's speaker terminals. This sub has already had a faulty amp that had to be replaced, which T...
Looking for new monitors - $300-$600 budget
well i'd have to say that with a smallish, not necessarily tiny, room, the tektons with the fostex 167e really does rock more than i thought it would, pressurizing the room to give you that presence while retaining that nice rich midrange, especia...
Mirage Omni 350 omnipolar
yeah, i'd have to agree about the lack of detail in the 550s. particularly the midrange, which is sort of what differentiates the high end from all the rest. i don't know what to do because my tektons just can't handle this large room 12 foot celi...
