Mitchum or Blackburn for the Mullard 6922?
Just bought a Blackburn e88cc on Ebay. I'll provide feedback by and by, though without a Mitchum to compare.
Quantify the difference between Holland Amperex e188cc/7308 and USA Amperex 7308/e188cc?
I consulted all the readily available and popular sources. Looking for user experience, especially comparing and contrasting these specific flavors.
Which has richer tonality, the Holland e188cc or the USA 7308?
lowrider57... Nope, only tried the 6922 PQ USA. I love its rich tonality but find it lacks the clarity and spatiality of the 7308 USA, which, unfortunately, is comparatively lean and edgy in my rig.

Which has richer tonality, the Holland e188cc or the USA 7308?
petg60... In my system the USA 7308, although having great clarity and spatiality, is too lean and edgy, not at all relaxed on top. I prefer the rich tonality and more relaxed white label USA 6922. I'm looking for something with the richness of th...

Not from rodman99999, elsewhere. Better than my orange label USA 7308. More articulate. Deeper bass. Now if I can only find something with its clarity and spatiality and the rich tonality of the 6922...

lowrider57... Yes. Still looking for the iteration that's a marriage between the flavors I cited here, not that I'm unhappy with either. Far from it. Besides, tube rolling is a pleasant pastime during the lockdown here in Seattle.

Since I installed a 6922 adapter (from Garage 1217), I tried various flavors of the 6dj8/6922/7308 family. Hence, I'm selling my NOS 396a tubes, including WE JW396a, Tung Sol, GE and the rare 1970 Tesla Military pinched-waist flavors.
How does the sound of the PCC88 and PCC189 compare to the 6922/6DJ8 and its iterations?
FYI, I'm familiar with the readily available commentary, instead I'm interested in personal experience and comparisons.
6922 Amperex PQ White label... D or O-getter? Holland or Hicksville?
In my system, I found the USA Amperex white label PQ large O-getter 6922 to have richer tonality than the USA Amperex orange label O-getter 7308, but weaker bass. Also, the former has a considerably flatter, less dimensional soundtage than the lat...

Alas, Joe has nothing to say about the tubes I'm inquiring about.

Great reference. Thank you!
