wht is the difference between good and bad sound ?
plato, you are confusing me. on what basis does a component posess both good and bad qualities, if the listener doesn't like the affect of the component upon the stereo system and therefore asserts "it's a bad component" . your view is still subje...
how can a line cord affect frequency response ?
robert raises an interesting point. perhaps i will start a thread on the subject of good versus bad components.i din't say that an interconnect is a bad component. i said i would not own it and would not recommend it.one cannot logically infer a s...
how can a line cord affect frequency response ?
my response to robert has nothing to with line cords.however, robert has made an assumption which is incorrect.i did not buy his interconnect cable and his persistence at defending his product oin a forum which is clearly not commercial is inappro...
sivler interconnect
the character of silver cable i detect is an analytic quality. it creates timbral inaccuracy where instruments do not sound real. also, bad recordings sound very bad.its like listening to music under a magnifying glass.the overall effect is to mak...
how can a line cord affect frequency response ?
i have listened to robert's latest interconnect cable in my stereo system. i would say it is a decent silver cable.i personally would not want to own it or recommend it to anyone else.
Please help with interconnects
if you like a cbale which creates a very open and resolving presentation, try outlaw audio, continuous cast copper cable for $55.00.if you prefer a bit less resolution but a balanced sound, try element cable, for under $100.00 . request bullet plu...
long interconnects - earthly price?
i'm not sure of the price, but element cable has a one meter pair for under $100.00 . my suggestion is have the cable terminated with bullet plugs and have the cable unshielded.
sivler interconnect

let me clairify my statements robert, which are not personal.i think that a forum should not be a venue for advertising or attempting to sell equipment.there is another section for buying/selling equipment.i believe that you advertise your product...

i own a pair of quad 63s, looking to add a pair of maggie 1.6s.i have owned tympanis, original quads, and for a short period of time a hybrid speaker by infinity consisting of an electrostatic tweeter and mid/bass driver.actually, the best speaker...
what is the difference between good and bad music
it would seem that good music is anything i like and bad music is anything i don't like.what if i change my mind ? the music hasn't changed only my attitude towards it.it would seem that, intrinsically, there is no good or bad music, because one m...
What don't you like about these speakers?
if you have appropriate side wall treatment you can place magnepan speakers closer to the wall.i would start out with 14 inches from each side wall and 4 feet from the back wall. since you can't place the speakers 4 feet from the back wall, do wha...
persoanlity and speaker preference
