Cube Audio or Charney
I know rodge827 has a pair of Charney’s and is absolutely gobsmacked with them. He lives in Jersey though and was able to listen before buying. Do a search and check it out   All the best
Name 3 classic mini-monitors worth keeping- Why?
Many have heard of the Platinum Audio Solos which most seem to agree was a fine monitor but I have the Platinum Audio Reference One's Circa. 1997-1999 which are a  more refined version of the Solos.  I'm as amazed as I am baffled with how much bas...
Rogue Audio vs Vincent Audio
I've never heard the Rogue or Vincent but don't shortchange the Denon, I own the PMA-2000 IVR and it's a very good integrated that's punchy, powerful and dynamic and plays much louder than it's 80 wpc so it's quite possible the Denon may be closer...

Advice on switching from a Denon PMA-915r to something else
If you like the Denon sound, this was recently listed and very tough to beat for the $ even with  shipping this still comes in well below your price range.
Integrated Amp ideas for Dynaudio Special 40's
The Denon is a very robust integrated if you can find one.  It will drive virtually any speaker, double its power into 4 ohms and is very conservatively rated. It also supposedly has a great phono stage  but cannot either confirm or deny as I have...

Got mine for the intro price of $795.00 and really do like them.  I was fortunate enough to find a pair of Platinum Audio Ref 1's for sale locally (another Phil Jones creation) and can't believe how good these sound.  They're about twenty years ol...
adding second set of speakers
Just curious, how do you like the Model One's?  I've had mine for almost two years now and feel they sound pretty darn good for the $ but haven't seen too many (If any) threads about these sleepers
Really...My favorite power tube is reissue that's not widely popular
In addition to the overall tone and detail I’m very impressed with the bass definition as well. Tempted to order another quad - just because

I think the output xformer was replaced with a Chicago brand of I’m not mistaken and seems quite robust.  I also used some winged Sed el34 with my last speakers and they did sound quite nice. It’s hard to do a comparison as I just got some new spe...
Really...My favorite power tube is reissue that's not widely popular
@salectric I bought these second hand And actually traded an .EL34 based  amp purchased through Jim  (which was also stellar) and some cash for these which was modified with Jim’s circuit.  I forgot how good these sound particularly with these tub...
