Power Amp..opinions please
I've owned several Rotel amps, B&K and Classe amps of mid 1990s mintage, and SUMO Polaris and Andromeda II. Of these, I thought the Andromeda II (240W into 8 ohms; 400W into 4 ohms; 80 Amps peak)best, having a warmish sound for SS and a sweet ...
Power Amp..opinions please
I have been listening to the Wyred4Sound ST-1000 stereo power amp for about 300 hours and they are fabulous sounding: ultraclean, dead quiet, sweet top end with complete elimination of phase distortion, zero audible distortion, and power reserves ...
Ohm Walsh Pro 200 Cylinders - Sound? Owners?
I have a pair of Pro-200s that I purchased around 1990. Fantastic sound - trademark Walsh open 3D sound. Very clean - excellent dynamics - thow a huge soundstage with lots and lots of air. They don't have the hefty bottem end of the bigger walshes...

Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
A while back I wrote a review about the Walsh 5's wherein I likened their soundstage to Carnegie Hall (the old hall that is, the one that the architectural genius Tuthill designed and built, before Stern and his nouveau renovators ruined it into j...
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
If you want to experience the non pareil imaging and soundstaging that the Walshs are capable of, you need only purchase and listen to any of the many excellent Mercury Living Presence reissue CDs. While I have Reference Recordings, RCA Living Ste...

Review: Ohm Acoustics Walsh 5 Series 3 Speaker
I'm using the Walsh 5 Series 3 in a smallish room (24' x 14' x 8' with peaked ceilings - bonus room over garage) driven with a beast MOSFET amp (240W into 8 ohms; 400W into 4 ohms, 80A peak current) - consequently, the dynamics are quite unrestrai...
Review: Ohm Acoustics Walsh 5 Series 3 Speaker
Excellent review and on target in it's observations. One of the most striking properties of the Walsh 5 Series 3 loudspeakers, given their comparatively modest footprint, is their ability to depict the sheer power of a symphony orchestra at full f...
Anyone Hear New Ohm Walsh MKIII driver upgrades?
I have owned and listened to the Ohm Walsh 5 Series 3 (Mk 3)for about 2 years since writing a review of them for Audioreview.com (I am also honored that Ohm website links to my review as I may have been the first customer to upgrade from the origi...

I'm not sure if the last post "stuck" so here it is again:$3.84 per foot of 18 ga teflon-coated .9999 silver wire for purchases of 50-99 feet at:www.homegrownaudio.com
Getting rid of harsh, shrill treble
I am running Walsh 5 Series 3 loudspeakers. The one thing I changed that finally tamed the upper octave like nothing else was switching to, get this, solid core .9999 silver wire, teflon insulated. I've always thought cable guys were kooks - but t...
OHm micro walsh series...
After reading through these messages I feel compelled to dispel much of the misinformation contained herein, excepting Chris who actually worked on the design prototypes and as such is authoritative.1. The Walsh micros, and the full range Walsh 5 ...
