Charly and Ace (both UK record companies) have issued great comps of 1950’s Rockabilly, Hillbilly, and Blues music. So have Rhino and Sundazed in the U.S.A., along with 1960's Garage bands.
Your favourite album of compilations, samplers.
I know many people look down on Compilation Albums, CD or Vinyl, but I enjoy them, particularly to find new artists to explore. In general the best ones tend to be from HiFi manufacturers, or from the best audiophile labels.
So which can you recommend, any genre of music?
I will start:
Any of the Dali company CDs, particularly the 1st, I think there are 5 albums now. The 1st is hard to find and expensive, it's so good.
Stockfisch compilations, any of them, my favourite label.
