Yes no issue whatsoever with an older amp and no speakers and your Mcormack is a very capable amp.

Many moons ago I owned those Vandersteens. Spendors have a similar sound. This Spendor has a small footprint and you don’t need stands.

Currently listening to my 2023 Cornwall 4 with a 50 yo Sansui AU 9500 and it’s got me re thinking my high tech 8k integrated. I say mix away! 

think efficient speakers sensitivity 90db or more. you may change your amp in the future.

that will help with current and future amp, keeps cost/size/weight/heat down and increases placement options, remember remote line of sight. get down to more common, thus more competitive cost, and used: more availability.

efficient speakers, less needed power is the best way to try tubes in the future.

Pass x25 is a small amp but musically excellent. Kef monitor LS50 meta very good speaker. You can’t go wrong on this combo.

I have had good success running 80s Nakamichi gear (CA5 and PA7) with KEF Meta R3 and a KC62 sub.  My room is large, so I’m hoping to add the newly released KC92 subwoofer at some point in the future.  You’re more than welcome to stop by for a listen if ever make it to eastern Virginia.
