Mhdt Orchid vs ANK 4.1 LE

I have a MHDT Orchid, upgraded with V Cap OIMP 1uf and Siemens e88cc with adapter. I am fairly happy with it. My speakers are fairly revealing 2 way with ESS Heil AMT 1 and 12" midbass, on a slightly brighter side. My amp is Elekit TU 8200r, and music is ripped CDs and Qubuz, mostly red book.

Now, I am getting a used(10 year old) but good condition ANK 4.1 LE at a price  which is $300-350 more than my Orchid's sale price, but substantially lower than retail and hence affordable for me.

My concern is that will I get a substantial upgrade in sound quality like soundstage, 3d holographic effect, detail and resolution, while retaining sweet and lush tonality of tubes and without getting bright, or will it be a subtle and incremental improvement. Is it worth the trouble? Are spares reasonably priced in case anything goes bad in ANK due to it's age? I am in India, so limited options in my budget.

Advice needed from members, especially from those who would heard both.

Thanks

You might try asking this question over on the head-fi board. I think there is at least one member over there who has, or has at least heard, both DACs.

Seek out a thread titled something like "MHDT R-to-R DACs..."

That thread runs to 58 pages, last time I looked.
