Indian Sitar Stuff

While somewhat alone at the time, I rather enjoyed some of the sitar and sitar-influenced guitar work George brought to some of the Beatles songs. Just recently, I found an old Ravi Shankar LP "Three Ragas" on Pacific Jazz and really like many parts of that. Can people suggest pressings (LP's) of other similar instrumental-only Indian music featuring sitar. I am not huge on vocal pieces. Maybe if I understood. ;-)

Photon, thanks for the suggestions. I figured that I migh tbe limiting myself with respect to "only on vinyl" and half expected very little produced much after the early 80's. I will serach for the titles you suggest.

Wow. I've done some initial looking for these labels, Atma. I thought some of the jazz records I've bought were expensive! :-) Oh well, yuz pay fer yer plaeasures!

I will pass on the CD's, but maybe this info is of help to others.

Anyone know of a site (other than E-Bay) or two from which to seek the vinyl offerinfs (old or new)?
