What is your experience with LiveVibe Audio Points?

Fellow Audiophile Fanatics -

I’ve been exploring the world of vibration tweaks. Tried the mapleshade heavy hats but found they didn’t do anything in my own system. However, I just installed three LiveVibe audio points under my Dac and was instantly taken aback. Everything improved - soundstage, imaging and bass punch.

I came across them from watching an OCD Mikey video where he recommended them. Have to say, these audio points are keepers.

Anyone else have direct experience with these LiveVibe Audio Points?

I have had one of their stands with their comes on the floor and on each shelf.  It's similar to the stands they make now.  I found the stand to be effective in improving the sound and detail of the music.  You would think cones are cones, but with the multiple angles on each cone, for some reason they seem to be more effective than plain brass cones.  I know the cones they make are not just brass, but I don't recall the metallurgical make up of them.

Yes.  I love them! Best I have used and replaced the much more expensive Townshend products.  They help all areas of music reproduction from top to bottom.  Clarity is fantastic as is bass reproduction and imaging.

I have owned Starsound Technologies Sistrum loudspeaker platforms (the predecessor to Live Vibe platforms), and Townshend Audio loudspeaker platforms.

Somewhere in the thread archives I have posted a comparison.

The abridged version is the Live Vibe/Sistrum platforms removed smearing, which focused and enlarged the image. Their effect was not marginal. They utilize Audio Points as part of the platform design.

Interestingly, I found Townshend Audio platforms to produce similar results. Completely different approach to vibration management.

I had different speakers and electronics in those systems, so apples to oranges in that regard. Same general results, though.

Either is a good choice.

Now, I use IsoAcoustics Gaia footers, which I find provide the same benefits for far less money and less visual intrusion.

I did try Audio Points under my components at one point. They’re effective, but set-up is tricky, and where we live the ground can suddenly shake. I was always nervous about my gear falling off during a small to medium earthquake and the damage that could result.

Horses for courses.

I have used the Sistrum platforms which made an amazing improvement to the sound of the floorstanding speakers that I was using at that time, and also an apprentice platform which supports my DAC and also made a positive improvement that was easily heard. Using the points alone id more affordable but not as effective as using them as part of the platform system. Highly recommended.
