Revox A77 mk2

I have 2 Revox A77s purchased in 1970. Can we still get parts for these decks from Revox/USA in Nashville, TN?  If not, where in the US is a good/reliable source? I'm looking for complete circuit boards, in particular, the Record Ampl. board 1.077.705 and Oscillator board 1.077.712. I've checked with Revox On-line and Ebay but both sources require shipping from Europe. If there's no US source, has anyone had experience using one of these?

Thanks

I used to sell the A77 in the 70’s. They blew away all the Teac R to R that I sold.  A lot of local musicians bought the Revox from me.  Much better sound but the looks of a black sheep. Have you tried contacting Revox?  Are they still in business?

stereo5,

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, I did contact Revox in Germany. They seemed willing to sell me parts but, because of high shipping costs, suggested I call Pro Audio, LTD in Tower Lakes, IL.  Pro Audio has been OK if I can get them to respond to my emails. I'd like to have an alternative source in the US if possible.

So far, I've found parts available on Ebay and Revox On-line but the parts still have to be imported from Europe at high shipping costs.

My mistake was letting these machines set unused for 30+ years! I'm thrilled with the revival of analog and RtoR tape. I plan to get both upgraded, sell one and use the other to record some of my vast collection of LPs.

Always enjoy talking with an avid A77 fan!!

Most likely your source has to be ebay and from Europe.

I live in Europe and have used ebay for parts for my B77 with success.
