Audirvana Plus (A+) sounds more transparent to me - particularly in the highs. I think this is likely due to A+ having direct mode, which bypasses Core Audio. JRMC can't currently bypass Core Audio.
JRiver MC for Mac -- Any users here?
I have a 2012 MacBook Pro now running Mavericks 10.9.5. After two years with Audirvana 1.x (up through their last 1.x version, 1.5.12), I thought I'd give JRiver Media's OSX version a try.
So no I'm trying out the trial download of JRiver 20 for Mac, imported my music files, but haven't done any audio optimizing yet. Still, I'm rather impressed with the sound so far.
Any adopters? Tryers? Thoughts, feelings, opinions, reactions?
