Good way to raise VPI SAMA
I think steve's black diamond racing idea is a good one. I have their scout kit and it dramatically improved low level resolution and treble clarity in my system.
Does Verity Parsifals mate well with solid?
I own the verity fidelio and have used them with both krell and jrdg ss amps to excellent effect.
Aurum Acoustics Integris CDP
I heard an early version of the full aurum system including the cd/pre, 330b amp (w/ bryston for the woofers), and speakers and it was a very compelling. The sound was full an warm with great detail. The presentation was slightly on the dull side ...

Marantz SA-15S1 SACD player
I haven't heard it yet, but I do know that it uses the same cirrus logic dac chip as the 8260, and that it does not upsample redbook like the sa-11.
Demo/Used- what would you prefer?
some used items can be truly as new, but only if the first owner cared for them anal retentively, which is hardly the norm. I'd say demo or cosmetic "b" stock is best way to get cheap, followed by well cared for used pieces. I'd stay away from use...
Audio Debt?

Speaker recommendations in the $3,500-$4,000 range
Von Schweikert VR4jr are definitely worth listening to, if your amps have power to spare maybe totem winds also. I haven't heard the aerial 10t in a while, but remember them being tasty as well. Finally, I heartliy recommend giving the verity fide...

I like verses best, although I think a fortnight is a great classic lp.
Bjork-Vespertine
Vespertine is my fav Bjork as well, and not by a small margin. Although I would say every bjork album (except telegram) is awesome in its own way, y'all should check out Post, Selmasongs, and Drawing Restraint for sure if you haven't already. If y...
John Mayer Trio???????
Two years ago I would have bet my car that I'd never like a john mayer album. Had someone made that proposition I'd be looking for a new car as I think trio is a pretty solid recording. I think jm is an example of the inverse sell-out. He put out ...
