What are the affects of setting tracking too hi or low?
yes, hi force wears the record more rapidly but too low will damage thegrooves in a profound way. ive read that the stylus presses on the vinyl at about 40k# psi. when too low vtf is set, the stylus is the ACCELLERATING between grooves and strikin...
dbx Noise Reduction Units
my experience is that dbx can be heard breathing on cassette. on open reel, not. ultimately, no noise reduction is better than dbx for sound. for cassette, i strictly recommend dolby s. ......regards.......tr

TT/ cartridge recommendations $1000
psychic, not to put the 1200 down but its not an audiophile grade tt. the arm and bearings are just a little to massive and crude. damper or no, the money can be more wisely spent on say a music hall mmf5 ($500 incl cart), or something more refine...
