Harbeth again…or other speakers for acoustic music?
A couple of guys asked how its going with my SVS Micro 3000sub and Harbeth m30.1 setup/integration. First just a little context so you know my particular situation. I retired about 6 years ago and have moved 4 times since then. Always a 1 or 2 br...
Harbeth again…or other speakers for acoustic music?
I’ve owned a pair of m 30.1’s for about 4 years. I really enjoy them and I too like jazz, vocals, acoustic guitar, piano etc. Acoustic music with space and realism mixed with artists like Monk, Bill Evans, Billie, Etta, Esperanza, Glenn Gould, Yo ...
Sound System on $10K Budget
Lots of interesting responses.  Forget the advice from the member that said go for high wattage.  Things have changed over the past 30 years.  Concentrate on component synergy; whatever pieces you get have to work well together and that can mean ...
How good is Pass INT25?
Great great integrated. I have one of them and have been an audio hobbyist for a long time and have owned too many pre/amp’s and integrateds. There is something unique and special about the "voicing" of the INT-25. I play it through a pair of Harb...
What do audiophiles do in their cars?
Just bought a '22 Honda Civic EX.  I thought about the Touring model (major differences were nicer stereo, leather and wireless android auto) but didn't want to spend another $4.5k.  I can listen to Qobuz on my phone connected to android auto (a b...
You own a store, you sell 2 brands, which?
Harbeth and Pass.  Easy.
What comes after Harbeth 30.1s?
Thanks OP for starting this thread.  I pair a Pass INT-25 with the M30.1's and it's a great match.  I've had the Harbeth's for a few years and recently have been thinking about "upgrading".  Or just add a small subwoofer and be done with it.  My l...
What Integrated Amp do You use
Pass INT 25 with Harbeth m30.1's.  Excellent match.
Rogers High Fidelity Integrated amplifiers
I find it a little odd that no one mentioned that Roger from Rogers High Fidelity chimed in months ago with an answer from his perspective.  I don't have a Rogers (not that i wouldn't want one!!!) but I thought that was kinda classy and wanted to ...
Why Don't More People Into Music Reproduction At Home Play Around With Musical Instruments
I started playing fingerstyle acoustic guitar when I retired about 6 years ago.  I agree with some of the other posters - very challenging to play an instrument with any proficiency.  I'm certainly not proficient, but I have fun and it's something...
Audio Connection + John Rutan (a kudo)
+1 for John Rutan at audioconnection. John sold me my first high end audio gateway drugs (NAD and Vandersteen 1b).....34 years ago. :-). I still remember driving to his shop during a snowstorm to pick up my new stereo.
Has anyone used the new Innuos 2.0 Sense music app? Compared it to Roon?
I’m an old(er) jaded audiophile and ex IT person. I know a good bit about computers from a practical sense as a power user. Honestly I did not hear much of an improvement moving from a stripped down Win 10 laptop to the Zen mk3 that I bought in Ap...
Innuos Zenith can't connect to my.innuos
It you type the Innuos server IP address in the address bar of your browser your innuos server should come right up. I had the same problem with the upgrade to 2.05 on my Zen Mk3. I’m not familiar with Orange Squeeze but the Zen IP address should ...
Innuos: A Cautionary Tale.
Zen Mk3 owner here.  Great product, great service.  I feel like they  are on to something in their OS as music does sound noticeably better through the Zen then through my previous digital front end which was an "audio optimized" Windows 10 laptop...
British Integrated Amps
You might want to check out a Sonneteer Alabaster. Just a simple, great integrated amp. Superb sound but like the LFD NCSE, no remote. I’ve had both. Now using Pass INT-25.The NCSE and the Harbeth m30.1's are a fantastic pairing.
