Cartridge recommendations?
My B&O tt died, so I’m using a SMMC1 on a new MoFi table with the Soundsmith adapter.  Sounds amazing.  The conventional wisdom is that it’s not a good compliance match, but nothing I can hear.  I took great care with setup, especially anti sk...
Cartridge recommendations?
Soundsmith SMMC4 and 1/2 inch adapter.  High compliance, just under 4 grams without headshell screws.  Closer to $300, but I think Soundsmith does have a eBay store.  Maybe there’s a deal on the cartridge and adapter.
Thoughts on Tivoli Wireless Stereo Cubes?
I haven’t heard Tivoi’s newer post Bluetooth products.  But my wife and I each have the Original Tivoli stereo with CD and Sub in our offices.  They sound pretty darn good for what they are.  Way better than larger speakers connected to my wife’s ...
Ohm speakers
Maybe there is a used pair in your area?  Then you could live with them for a while, and not be out much if you sell them because they don’t work in your room or you don’t take to the omni sound.  If you do like them as I did, and the cabinets are...
What is the #1 equipment want currently on your HiFi horizon???
The Ohm Walsh 4-5000 speaker upgrade I ordered for my old Ohm Walsh 4s
Help with turntable setup?
I ordered a Soundsmith cartridge within the last month or so and received it within a week
Help with turntable setup?
The Soundsmith website has good explanations and how-to on setup.
Calling for recommendations: Speakers for a very lively room
I have a narrow 15 foot by 40 deep room.  One whole wall is almost all glass.  The other wall opens into a hallway and further back a kitchen.  I have Ohm Walsh Talls 18 inches out  from the corners, (stereo subs in the corners) and don’t notice r...

Request for a recommendation on a small footprint floor standing speaker
I have Ohm Walsh 4, soon to be 5, and love them.  Judging by how long the 4s lasted, they should be my last speakers.  If you go that way, make sure to call Ohm to get the right size for your room.  Maybe it’s 2000.  I think their website has a ch...
REL T5 vs REL T7 subwoofers
I have only ever experienced two stereo T5 subs, placed in the front wall corners as recommended by REL, with ohm Walsh 4s in front of them. Perfect for my tastes.  With all the furniture in the room also, I haven’t had any base management issues ...
Fix for B&K Component Reference 20
Musical Designs/Concepts has mods for some B&K.  I almost sent my pro 10mc and ex 442, but gave a used Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, about the same price as sending the amps to Musical DEsigns, a tryout and kept it.  The dealer I bought the Ro...
New Hobby Ultrasonic Record Cleaning
In my experience, the Vibrato 135khz is certainly worth a reasonable wait.  I do 4 records at a time.  I think Cleanervinyl had a higher frequency US tank, but it was more expensive, and as I recall, I didn’t know who made it.  I had a quality iss...
New Hobby Ultrasonic Record Cleaning
I use the basic Cleanervinyl rotisserie and two tanks.  One is a cheapo 40hz (kHz?) and a Vibratto 135hz that sweeps.  I first do the disc doctor fluid with the brushes, and without letting it dry on the records or rinsing, spin them in the 40 tan...
All New Totaldac D100 Loudspeakers....The HOLY GRAIL OF SPEAKERS ?!
I would expect proper grammar advertising a $15,000 speaker, and certainly not a mistake in the 4th sentence.  Hire someone.  It reads like the instructions for some cheap kitchen gadget my wife bought at the Asian market
