A DAC that crushes price vs. performance ratio
Hi almarg,To bad you didn't wait for the new First Watt SIT-3. I'm on the waiting list. Should be getting it in October, hopefully. Nelson is only making 250 of them.  A few reviewers think very highly of it. Stating that the tonal balance is quit...
AC Regenerator
PS Audio isn't the only game in town. Purepower makes very good regenerators with battery back-up.I use a Purepower 1500+ which is excellent. The only concern is their customer service isn't the best, but the units are reliable. Had mine for about...
If you still spin CD's their is a reference level Transport for reasonable money
Hi Audiolabyrinth, I also use a platinum starlight hdmi. I have a directstream dac and denafrips terminator. I perfer the terminator with redbook cd’s.Teajay, if you didn’t use the I2s output to your dac, then you didn’t hear the memory transport ...

Hey Mike, Let us know how the I2s works between the transport and the Denafrips terminator dac. I think it suppose to be the best input for the Terminator.I use the Terminator with the PS Audio Memory Player using the I2s connections and it sounds...
Phono Stage Recommendation $3000
Here's one nobody mentioned, K&K Audio Maxxed Out Phono Stage. You can get it with 2 inputs. I run mine with a Lyra Kleos SL with no problems, sounds wonderful.
Wide dispersion + high efficiency + detail + coherence in a speaker?
Charles1dad has given you a good list. I have Horning Eufrodite Ellipse and think they check everything on your list. The Classic Audio Loudspeakers are wonderful too.

Sedgwick, that is in Singapore dollars. In US dollars $3645.15
Horning Agalmes experience
Hi amuse18, I don’t have Agalme, but use the Eufrodite Ellipse with very good results.First off, they need a pretty big room hopefully with a high ceiling. They don’t play well with low ceilings (overloaded bass). I have mine set far from the side...
Contemplating DEVORE SPEAKERS (and others)....LONG audition report of many speakers
Hi pingvin,Sorry, I didn't hear the Aristoteles. I have a pretty big room and the Eufrodite probably would have filled the room better. I'm sure they both have the Hornings house sound. They are coherent, fast, natural, organic. Which makes you ge...

Good choice Pingvin. I have Horning Eufrodite Ellipse and love them.I would have suggested Horning but, might take up to much floor space for Porf.
Denafrips maybe have a second thought.
Hi Mike, thanks for the heads up. That’s great news.Anybody that was on the fence buying these DAC’s, this should make your decision a lot easier with less risk.Joe
which 6sn7 gives the most air??
The Ken-Rads either clear or black glass sound the same to me. Most importantly is make sure they have staggered plates those are the good ones.
which 6sn7 gives the most air??
Bopper,Make sure they have three holes in their plates to be real . Sylvania made 1952 6SN7GT tubes with two holes in the plates, but they are not bad boys
Jay’s Audio CDT-3 - Impressions of a Great CD Transport
Hey teajay,Why don't you ask Alvin if you can review the Denafrips Terminator too.I just received mine its really starting to sound very nice. I only have about 45 hours, with more time it should only get better.Very dynamic, smooth, with great to...

If you want a speaker with a small footprint the Zu Druid VI might float your boat. Their aluminum base is 1ft. square and cabinet only about 7” deep. They are a little finicky with amps and set-up, but can sound very dynamic and alive.
