Raul,In my playbook AT24, AT155LC, AT15SS outperform ATLM170 and AT160ML with more visceral and tactile sound. ATLM170 and AT160ML are better (gripper) trackers, but more subdued, thinner and less enjoyable. if I would transfer LP to digital I wou...

not owning the big shot Victor L1000 but I have JVC MC-2E, which I think is excellent. I think it works better on relative heavy and stable tonearm. Very visceral and open sound. Work good on L-07D.

Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
I don't understand why there should be a difference in tracking ability between MM and MC given the fact that both of them use wire suspension such as Technics P100 or 205 and coils on cantilever and magnets on cantilever have same weight why ther...

Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
Raul,I'll report about about my ATN24 from William Thakker. the fact that the AT24 stylus is elliptical on albeit fine diamond may be prompted his suppliers to not charge too much for it.Anyway, are you started to be influenced by the price tag? t...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
Fleib,I do believe you about mk II, but AT wasn't using this nomenclature till 90s-00s. This Signet might be an exception.Raul,I ordered additional stylus fo my AT24 because I love it so much and William Thakker sells it now quite reasonable. My or...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
I own several replacement ATN24/25 styli in original AT package. On the "24" or "25" is not stamped on the mounting block. I have the stylus, which is probably the one my AT24 was sold with - it has "24" stamped.Cantilever, diamond cross-section a...

Do I remember correctly, the AT24 has a finer stylus/less tip mass than the AT22 & 23?Yes, but also most probably some other body difference, which AT usually doing to finally voice their cartridges.
