Led Zep Reissue on vinyl
06-07-14: GeoffkaitRocket Man, the last time I looked CD players offer 90 dB of dynamic range whereas turntables offer only 70 dB of dynamic range, if they're lucky. So, according to my calculations that's a difference of 20 dB. What's that, about...

I have the 30th anniversary. The Japanese Toshiba pro use kills it (Analog). I suggest you get a copy. Cheers !
Led Zep Reissue on vinyl
The original tapes masters are analog to start with. They have the most dynamic range. When files where made a/d to make cd versions the sound was compressed and normalized, killing the dynamic range amongst creating other problems. The LP's are f...

They are digital remasters. You are probably better off with the h-rez files. Get the OOP Classic reissues or the originals for best sounding vinyl zep.
Stillpoints under a turntable?
I use Ultra 5's under my CA Master Innovation. Very worthwhile upgrade.
Graham Phantom Anti-Skate. Is it effective at all?
Doug, the pivot to spindle distance is the difficult part to get right if you use a mint. Yip's distance is different from what Graham does with his spindle cup and empty arm wand. Like I said, for Graham arms, my experience has been better with t...

Yes, I wish I could edit the thread. I agree, insults accomplish nothing. There is no hit and miss regarding these arm wands. The older arm wands with the elliptical headshell could very well be the same angle wise on the 10 & 12's. I have no ...
Graham Phantom Anti-Skate. Is it effective at all?
well I have two empty supreme arm wands...10" and 12". They don't line up...it's not even close angle wise. Perhaps you should pull your head out of your arse and stop talking about your first hand experience with old Graham tonearms. It is 2014.....
Graham Phantom Anti-Skate. Is it effective at all?
Graham did not change the Arch Angle of these tubes.Whaaaat??? They offer longer armwands to reduce tracking angle error but neglect to reduce the headshell offset angle? If so, that's brainless. What Syntax is saying is simply not true. Maybe it w...

So they say. I don't see a plastic tonearm coming to my system anytime soon.

05-03-14: Number_95Perhaps Bob heard us! My dealer informed me that Graham sent the tonearms and will be available as of Monday-Tuesday. From my conversation with Bob today, it appears your dealer secured the arm from Musical Surroundings (distrib...

I have yet to receive my Elite arm despite being promised on many occasions that I would be in the first batch. I am not happy.
